This piece is comprised of two original photographs from the original negatives by George Barris and William Carroll, framed side by side. These photographs were the first and last photos ever taken of American icon, Marilyn Monroe. The photograph on the left was taken on Santa Monica Beach by George Barris in 1962 just two weeks before Monroe's death. The photograph on the right was taken off the Pacific Coast Highway at Castle Rock by William Carroll in 1945, which was the first photo-shoot in which Marilyn Monroe (then Norma Jeane) was paid to model.
